About the role
- Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements
- Oversee the general ledger, including account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; review work for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with external tax providers on income, personal property, and sales tax
- Oversee fixed assets, including capitalizations, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and budget-to-actual variance analysis
- Develop, document, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance
- Support and lead the coordination of the annual audit
- Partner with the Director of Finance & Accounting on financial analysis, special projects, and process improvements
- Assist with cash forecasting and oversight of AP, AR, and credit card reconciliation processes
- Support ERP functionality and continuous improvement efforts within Microsoft Business Central
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA or Masters in Accounting is a plus, but not required
- 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and support a hybrid/remote work environment
