About the role
- Lead and inspire a product engineering team, driving technical excellence, ownership, and individual growth
- Responsible for end-to-end delivery, operation, and evolution of critical product modules that power skills-based hiring
- Report directly to the VP of Engineering and work closely with Product, Design, and Data leaders
- Own delivery of key initiatives, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes with measurable impact
- Partner with Product, Design, and other departments to drive alignment, planning, and prioritization
- Build and continuously improve engineering processes that drive quality, velocity, and team productivity
- Foster a data-driven culture by leveraging analytics in team and cross-functional collaborations
- Define, track, and report on team health using industry-standard metrics (DORA metrics, cycle time, defect rates)
- Champion a healthy codebase through maintainable, well-tested code that aligns with established standards
- Drive technical vision, architecture decisions, and execution strategy in collaboration with Head of Technology and VP of Engineering
- Foster a culture of trust, safety, high performance, ownership, and accountability
- Actively participate in hiring, coach and mentor engineers to grow scope and impact
Requirements

- Proven ability to lead senior engineers, cultivate technical leadership, and build high-performing engineering teams
- Deep technical background in software engineering, expertise in designing and scaling complex, distributed systems
- Experience operating in high-growth SaaS environments, ideally with B2B or platform-focused products
- Hands-on experience in Backend (Python) or Frontend (Angular/TypeScript) strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of cloud-native architecture; AWS experience is a big plus
- Track record of solving ambiguous problems, driving change, and leading at scale
- Typically expect at least 5 years of Engineering Management experience and 10+ years in technical roles
- Bonus: experience managing teams in asynchronous, fully remote, and multicultural environments
- Bonus: strong product sense and history of close collaboration with product management
- Bonus: background in technical hiring and employer branding for engineering orgs
