About the role
- Support systems engineering efforts across the portfolio of sustaining projects ranging from compliance, service and cost—from concept development through design, integration, testing, and implementation.
- Define and manage system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for existing products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, quality) to ensure cohesive system integration.
- Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, and root cause analyses to support design decisions.
- Develop and execute system verification and validation plans, including test protocols and reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in an R&D or product development environment.
- General understanding of systems engineering principles (INCOSE, MBSE, V-model, etc.).
- Proficiency in tools such as Solidworks, Matlab, Minitab, and others.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in R&D and the Medical Device Industry.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, Design for Six Sigma, and Design for Manufacturability.
