About the role

  • Support Terraformation’s internal sourcing and operations teams by developing a clear understanding of Indonesia’s carbon-related regulatory environment
  • Analyze Indonesia’s regulatory landscape for blue carbon projects
  • Develop internal frameworks and decision tools for assessing regulatory viability and risk
  • Assess applicable regulatory frameworks and policies affecting project eligibility
  • Map relevant government and institutional stakeholders and develop engagement strategies
  • Define required permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals and develop practical roadmaps

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in coastal ecosystem restoration or blue carbon project development in Indonesia.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian environmental and carbon market regulations particularly blue carbon.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage partnerships involving government agencies, donors, and technical organizations.
  • Proven experience coordinating feasibility or early-stage project development processes
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Restoration Ecology, Coastal Management, Development Studies, or Public Policy); Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing technical consultants or cross-disciplinary teams.
