About the role
- Manage the full lifecycle of grid connection processes for our battery energy storage projects in Germany
- Identify suitable grid connection points and evaluate technical and commercial connection feasibility
- Lead and coordinate grid connection applications with DSOs/TSOs, including grid studies, technical clarifications, and connection agreements
- Serve as the main point of contact for network operators, ensuring proactive communication and trust-based relationships
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (project development, permitting, engineering) and external consultants to align grid-related activities
- Support strategic assessments on grid availability, capacity planning, and regulatory developments affecting project pipelines
- Contribute to internal knowledge building on grid-related topics and best practices
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in grid connection, network planning, or system operation
- Prior experience working within a DSO or TSO (e.g. in grid access, system planning, or grid strategy), or significant experience collaborating directly with grid operators in a consulting or project development role
- Proven track record in managing grid connection processes for renewable or storage projects
- Strong understanding of German and European grid codes and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Fluency in German and English (both required)
- Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory topics into actionable project steps
