About the role
- Manage procurement of direct and indirect materials for sealing and gasket manufacturing
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for direct materials and indirect materials
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials and indirect items
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve cost savings
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing and value engineering
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and audit norms
- Work closely with PPC, Production, Quality, and Finance teams for material planning
- Mitigate supply chain risks by developing alternate sources and monitoring market trends
Requirements
- 12–15 years in procurement, preferably in automotive or industrial manufacturing
- BE / MBA in Supply Chain / Materials Management
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes in automotive manufacturing
- Expertise in direct material sourcing (rubber, metal, gasket components) and indirect procurement.
- Awareness on significant safety hazards, risk & operational controls
- Legal compliances - awareness on EHS Policy & objective
- Awareness on Emergency Management system
- Environment significant aspects, Risk knowledge & it's operational controls
