About the role

  • Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and overseeing the sales process from initial contact through successful delivery.
  • It combines strategic sales expertise with hands-on project management to ensure customers receive solutions that meet their needs and deliver measurable results.
  • Identify and qualify new sales leads by through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other prospecting methods to build a robust pipeline
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships by actively engaging with clients and understanding their unique needs and goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers for recurring services
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Manage the entire sales process using project management skills from initial lead generation through contract negotiation, closing, and post-sale follow-up to ensure client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical development, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Track sales activities, maintain accurate client records, and generate detailed reports using CRM software to support informed decision-making
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, promoting products and services while expanding brand awareness
  • Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and competitive activities to proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years of services-based and B2B sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and drive sales revenue
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent negotiation and organizational skills
  • Solid background in project management with experience in planning, executing, and monitoring project lifecycles
  • Willingness and ability to travel weekly up to 60% of the time, both in-state and out-of-state, by car and air for client meetings, events, and industry conferences
  • Experience in industries such as environmental services, underground infrastructure services, or utilities, with sales to municipalities and government, strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Ability to effectively work cross functionally
  • Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (including strong Excel skills)
  • Degree in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Valid drivers license with a clean MVR record
