About the role

  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of the estimating department
  • Management, coordination and quality assurance of all tender and contract estimates for turnkey building construction projects, with a focus on residential construction
  • Responsibility for the strategic direction of estimating and the development of estimating processes, methods and standards
  • High-level review of complex tender estimates
  • Responsibility for assessing opportunities, risks and cost trends and deriving appropriate measures
  • Support and participation in contract negotiations, and attendance at procurement and strategy meetings with clients
  • Close collaboration with project management, design/planning, procurement and work preparation
  • Development, maintenance and optimization of key figures, bases and benchmarks for estimating
  • Leading, developing and motivating the estimating team, including coaching and knowledge transfer

Requirements

  • Degree in civil engineering, further training as a construction technician, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in estimating turnkey building construction projects and initial leadership or management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of estimating, cost estimation and cost control for complex construction projects
  • Proficient in MS Office and common estimating and BIM-related software solutions (e.g., IBIS-Trad, Nevaris, Solibri)
  • Strong commercial/entrepreneurial mindset and a high degree of cost and results responsibility
  • Very good technical and commercial understanding
  • Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style
  • Leadership skills, assertiveness and communication ability
  • High level of responsibility, commitment and team orientation
  • German language skills at C1 level are required for this position
