About the role
- contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the cloud-native Edge Data Platform
- build a portfolio of data platform systems that enable data integration teams that securely connect Tempus’s cloud with healthcare organizations and data networks
- enable efficient and reliable data exchange for clinical, molecular, and imaging datasets
Requirements
- experience writing specifications including REST APIs, preferably in Python
- experience in frontend (React Javascript) development or a strong interest in picking up that skill
- experience in cloud-native applications and supporting technologies, patterns, and practices including: AWS/GCP cloud services, container orchestration systems, CI/CD systems, event-based integration patterns, and microservices
- experience building and running scalable resilient cloud-native data pipelines and microservices in production
- experience in agile environments
- collaborating and communicating with team members of varying skill sets and from different fields
- embrace GenAI tools in day-to-day work to boost productivity
- bonus points for: Healthcare domain knowledge and experience with healthcare transmission formats (e.g. FHIR, HL7, ANSI X12) and data models (e.g OMOP)
- experience integrating with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- experience building and operating high-throughput data processing systems with spiky workloads
- experience with infrastructure concepts such as networking, linux system administration and cloud identity federation (e.g. OIDC)
