Full-stack Engineer

• Lead the design and development of systems that optimize network traffic and scale for global expansion.
• Drive architectural decisions for high-impact projects, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Co-author long-term technical roadmaps that set the vision for network scalability, performance, and engineering velocity.
• Set the standard for a culture of engineering and operational excellence.
• Build and nurture effective partnerships across engineering, product, and security teams to align on network infrastructure goals.
• Lead and conduct design reviews for critical projects with a focus on system-level tradeoffs and network scalability.

Staff Software Engineer, Traffic

• Design and implement Temporal AI SDK features supporting a broad variety of frameworks and libraries.
• Develop a deep understanding of AI application development techniques, including emerging approaches and architectures.
• Work with multiple programming languages, primarily Python and TypeScript.
• Make extensive use of AI coding tools, especially to ensure quality across a large number of integrations.
• Take end-to-end ownership of new features, working with other teams to deliver exceptional reliability and a great developer experience.
• Serve as a domain expert on AI design patterns, collaborating with field staff to provide best-practices and canonical examples.
• Work directly with our developer community to debug issues that need expert attention, and get feedback on Temporal SDK features and APIs.
• Write public technical documentation describing Temporal concepts and APIs.
• Go the extra mile to support a customer in need, on the rare occasion that AI SDK engineering expertise is needed.
• Travel to meet your coworkers for a week once or twice a year.
• Attend the occasional developer conference to talk about how great Temporal is (optional).

Senior Software Engineer – AI SDK

• Build and Maintain Critical Systems: Design, build, and maintain mission-critical systems that power Temporal's customer acquisition funnel and revenue operations infrastructure.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Finance, RevOps, and Sales teams to understand core business requirements and transform them into scalable, effective engineering solutions.
• Contribute to Cloud Nexus: Design, develop and scale a key primitive which enables multi-cloud connectivity between Temporal Applications across teams, domains and regions.
• Ensure Data Integrity and Reliability: Develop, test, and maintain code for distributed data systems. Your work will safeguard the critical metering pipeline that drives almost all of Temporal's revenue.
• Grow With Mentorship: Receive guidance from experienced engineers while building expertise in Go, Kubernetes, Temporal, and cloud-native technologies like Kinesis, Redshift, Stripe, and more.
• Drive Improvements in Developer and Customer Experience: Identify opportunities to streamline customer experiences through automation, better tooling, and strategic system enhancements.

Software Engineer, Cloud Growth

• Collaborate with prospects to determine if their applications fit Temporal’s platform well.
• Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service.
• Position Temporal effectively in architectures involving LLMs, agents, event-driven systems, and data platforms, clarifying where Temporal adds value vs. alternatives.
• Advise customers on applying Temporal to AI/ML-driven workflows, including model training pipelines, inference orchestration, agent-based systems, and human-in-the-loop processes.
• Position Temporal as a leading solution against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
• Foster an environment within customer engineering organizations to increase the adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments.
• Partner closely with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
• Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers within customer organizations, ensuring they fully leverage Temporal’s capabilities.
