About the role
- Embed within a squad: Work as a core member of a cross-functional team, shaping roadmap decisions with data-driven insight.
- Own domain metrics: Define, maintain, and evolve clear success metrics for your squad, ensuring alignment with company-wide KPIs.
- Deliver actionable insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses that inform product improvements, commercial strategy, and customer outcomes.
- Build and maintain dashboards: Create clear, reliable reporting and self-serve tools that empower stakeholders to make confident decisions.
- Influence experimentation and measurement: Support experiment design, feature impact analysis, and performance tracking to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with data & engineering: Partner with analytics engineers and data engineers to ensure high-quality, well-modelled data foundations.
- Raise the bar: Contribute to analytics best practices, documentation, and knowledge-sharing across squads.
Requirements
- Proven experience: Several years of experience in data analytics, with a track record of delivering insights that influenced product or commercial decisions.
- Embedded partnership mindset: Experience working closely with product managers, engineers, and commercial stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
- Strong technical skills: Advanced SQL and Python skills, experience with modern analytics stacks (e.g., dbt, Looker/Tableau or similar BI tools).
- Data storytelling: Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives tailored to different audiences.
- Business understanding: Comfortable with product performance analysis, funnel optimisation, churn analysis, commercial sizing, and KPI tracking.
- Ownership & autonomy: Confident operating independently within a squad, managing priorities and balancing reactive and proactive work.
- Desirable: Experience working in a squad-based or product-led organisation.
- Familiarity with energy markets, fintech, or climate tech.
- Experience supporting experimentation frameworks or A/B testing.
- Exposure to metric definition and analytics governance in scaling companies.
