About the role
- Focus on long-term cybersecurity consulting projects with TELUS clients
- Provide advisory expertise to TELUS external clients
- Oversee engagements and assess security posture and governance
- Identify gaps and risks for external clients
- Support others in achieving business objectives and information assurance quality goals
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity
- Strong experience (7–10 years) conducting information security assessments, particularly using standards such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001 and CIS Controls
- Ability to lead governance, risk and compliance engagements, including performing risk and gap assessments as well as security audits
- Relevant professional certifications such as ISO 27001, CISA, CISSP, CISM or CompTIA Security+
- Experience managing project timelines
- Proven experience drafting or developing security policies and procedures
- Excellent report-writing and presentation skills
- Experience supporting a wide range of clients with diverse compliance and security needs
- Understanding of network security technologies such as firewalls and intrusion prevention systems
- Knowledge of security infrastructure components related to cloud technologies and on-premises requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or university degree (preferred) in a related field
