About the role
- Lead and own the organic search strategy for TELUS Health products
- Inform and execute technical optimization strategies for search engines
- Analyze our website performance to enable agencies and content teams to make data-driven decisions
- Plan and implement on-page and off-page optimization strategies
- Guide content creators on SEO best practices
- Monitor and analyze performance to improve traffic, rankings, click-through rates, and conversions
- Collaborate on paid search campaigns
- Provide strategic input on Google Ads, Search Ads 360, and Microsoft Ads campaigns
- Create and present comprehensive search performance reports
Requirements
- 5–7 years of SEO experience with a proven track record of organic growth, improved rankings, and qualified traffic
- 3+ years of search marketing experience with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
- Proficiency with SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, MOZ, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Trends, and GA4
- Strong technical SEO skills: site audits, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and mobile optimization
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO
- Deep knowledge of search algorithms, E-E-A-T principles, and the impact of AI on click-through rates and organic traffic
- Excellent communication skills to translate data into insights for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong project management and prioritization skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to align and mobilize cross-functional teams
