Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Group & Technical Product Owners to align on evolving priorities, expectations, and strategic outcomes
Champion effective cybersecurity communication across internal business units, fostering a culture of security awareness and collaboration
Stay actively involved in mission-critical security assessments, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards and risk posture
Identify and eliminate barriers that impede streamlined cybersecurity assessments, driving continuous improvement in assessment processes
Lead multi-service security engagements, acting as the single point of contact from initiation through to successful completion
Interpret residual security risks and recommend appropriate treatments based on industry best practices and Telstra’s risk framework
Collaborate with Risk peers to conduct additional Security Risk Assurance assessments for engagements meeting defined criteria prior to Operational Security Compliance reviews
Provide strategic advice on people, process, and technology security controls across missions, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide security objectives
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant experience in: Cybersecurity operations and risk management
Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant experience in: Business process reengineering
Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant experience in: Operational process development and continuous improvement
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and promote a positive, enterprise-wide security culture
Proven project management, multitasking, and organizational skills
High-level theoretical and practical knowledge of security principles, frameworks, and technologies
Solid understanding of current trends in the cybersecurity threat landscape
Relevant university-level qualification in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field
