About the role
- Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
- Review and guide junior bookkeepers; resolve complex transactions and reconciliation issues.
- Perform advanced reconciliations (bank, credit card) and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor bills and invoices.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Handle complex payroll transactions and ensure tax compliance.
- Set up and maintain QBO/QBD client files and customize based on business needs.
- Lead month-end and year-end closings; support audit readiness and compliance.
- Serve as primary contact for client financial questions and manage vendor relations.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and collaborate on advisory and reporting tasks.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-client or franchise environment.
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop (QBD).
- Experience with payroll, sales tax compliance, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of reconciliations (bank, credit card), AP/AR, general ledger, and journal entries.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and mentor junior bookkeepers.
- Attention to detail, integrity, strong communication, and client service skills.
