About the role
- Support preparation and execution of Galileo Satellites Payload In Orbit Test (IOT) activities from the ESEC Galileo IOT Station
- Supervise and execute Galileo satellite IOT campaigns based in ESEC
- Operate Galileo Test Receivers used to validate navigation signals
- Follow up technical procurement of IOT ground infrastructure updates
- Support installation and improvement of Galileo complementary IOT infrastructure (hardware and software)
- Perform validation and documentation of IOT activities and infrastructure
- Follow up verification and validation of the IOT ground infrastructure
- Coordinate operations and maintenance activities at ESEC related to satellite commissioning and hosting of IOT infrastructure
- Support further development of Galileo IOT infrastructure (definition, installation, validation)
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in electric engineering, preferably telecommunications
- Practical experience in in-orbit testing
- Experience with earth station technology and satellite payloads
- Knowledge of test methods and calibration
- Understanding of satellite navigation systems (Galileo)
- Eligible to obtain Security clearance from EU country
- Good technical expertise previously exercised in a similar function
- Capacity to work within a multidisciplinary environment and with external organizations
- Previous involvement in IOT campaigns considered an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Ability to develop innovative solutions
- Working languages: English and French (good working knowledge of both required)
- Willingness/ability to relocate to Belgium
