About the role
- Develop and optimize Esko’s current and future halftoning, curve and color calibration technologies, combining software development with hands-on analysis of physical print samples to drive innovation
- Stay up to date on software technology, AI, related Esko products and patents and products and patents of the competition
- Listen to our customers to understand their daily challenges and convert the insights from that dialogue into valuable solutions
- Assist our quality engineers and application specialists with the analysis of complex printing problems reported by our customers
- Interact intensively with our quality engineers who are testing the new functionality and setting up regression tests for sustainability
- Provide the necessary input to our technical writers for the user documentation of new features and modules
Requirements
- A master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or computer science.
- A profound interest in the physics and mathematics behind the printing process and the production of printing plates
- Basic knowledge of AI, machine learning and pattern recognition
- Knowledge of the following programming languages: Java and C++, QT is considered a plus.
- Fluent knowledge of English
- Openness to travelling a couple of times a year
- Able to operate in a global context
