About the role
- Install, configure, and optimize hardware, software, and network-connected products at customer sites
- Perform routine and complex maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory and process equipment
- Diagnose performance issues and recommend solutions that improve equipment reliability
- Provide customer training and technical guidance to enhance proper equipment use and preventative care
- Respond proactively to potential issues to minimize downtime and unplanned business interruptions
- Serve as a technical resource for colleagues and customers, occasionally mentoring other field engineers
- Support high‑volume customer locations with on‑site calibration services
- Ensure professional, timely communication and a strong customer service experience
Requirements
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience servicing analytical or laboratory instrumentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field; Associate degree with experience also considered
- 5–10 years of related equipment troubleshooting, calibration, or repair experience
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time and maintain a valid driver’s license
