About the role

  • Review existing documentation and meet with project stakeholders and sponsors;
  • Validate and refine the understanding of objectives, context, and issues (educational, clinical, organizational, technological);
  • Update the overall project overview (vision, scope, stakeholders, expected outcomes);
  • Establish a detailed work plan for subsequent phases;
  • Identify user profiles and conduct interviews and workshops to detail their specific needs;
  • Map the primary educational and clinical processes targeted by CareAI (problem-based learning, labs, clinical placements, clinical support, etc.);
  • Identify constraints, pain points, risks, and opportunities associated with the introduction of the tool;
  • Analyze existing workflows and propose target processes;
  • Structure and document business and functional requirements (use cases, features, access profiles, user journeys, business rules);
  • Prioritize features across subsequent phases;
  • Document high-level technical requirements (architecture, integration, security, privacy, compliance);
  • Identify institutional technology constraints and standards to be followed;
  • Develop and document realistic solution scenarios (custom development, existing platform, hybrid solution, partnership, etc.);
  • Analyze the benefits, limitations, risks, and success factors of each scenario;
  • Provide well-supported recommendations on the scenario(s) to prioritize;
  • Prepare the functional requirements specification, technical requirements, and evaluation criteria for a request for proposals;
  • Propose project sequencing (phases, milestones, deliverables, timeline) to guide external partners;
  • Provide high-level resource estimates and budgetary envelopes;
  • Identify key risks and propose mitigation strategies;
  • Maintain regular communication with the steering committee;
  • Produce reports and progress notes at agreed milestones;
  • Ensure rigorous document management of deliverables.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in business analysis (complex projects);
  • Proven experience in technological innovation projects with at least 5 years' specific experience in AI projects or digital transformation;
  • Proficient in requirements analysis methodologies and drafting specifications;
  • Autonomous, rigorous, and possess excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in an academic or healthcare environment and experience in business architecture (preferred at a conceptual/strategic level) are assets.
