About the role

  • Analyze business needs related to geospatial information systems.
  • Gather and document functional requirements from stakeholders.
  • Produce detailed functional analyses for geomatics solutions.
  • Define business rules and processes related to geospatial data management.
  • Participate in workshops with users and domain experts.
  • Collaborate with architects and development teams to implement solutions.
  • Contribute to defining test cases and validating application solutions.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements and deliverables.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development and delivery processes.
  • Document functional solutions and support knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree (Baccalauréat universitaire) in geomatics, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in information technology.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in development or maintenance of IT systems using a relational DBMS.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with geomatics systems.
  • Significant experience in functional analysis for geospatial system projects.
  • At least two (2) years of experience with a structured development methodology (Agile, Lean, Waterfall or equivalent).
  • At least one (1) year of experience with the FME tool.
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of geospatial system architectures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
