About the role
- Introduce innovative and digital-first /AI approaches (microlearning, social learning, AI-enabled tools, blended programs) to enhance employee learning experience.
- Translate organizational priorities into learning strategies that strengthen technical & product knowledge, professional, and leadership capabilities.
- Support and lead the development of competency-based training at Tecsys for managers and employees.
- Co-design an organizational skills framework to support organizational upskilling, skills-based learning and career development
- Conduct needs assessments (data-driven) to identify skill gaps and learning priorities.
- Apply instructional design best practices to create engaging, learner-centered content (e-learning, workshops, simulations, on-the-job learning) and curriculums-at-scale.
- Design targeted competency development programs across functions when required (product, engineering, customer success, sales, etc.)
- Continuously evaluate and improve programs based on learner feedback, adoption data, and business impact.
- Benchmark against instructional design industry best practices to ensure the company’s learning solutions remain modern and competitive.
Requirements
- Bachelor or master's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning or Educational Technology or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of L&D experience, including digital-first /AI approaches (microlearning, social learning, AI-enabled tools, blended programs)
- Experience creating competency frameworks
- Experience in eLearning design and development (multimedia expertise)
- Strong stakeholder management and project management skills
- Exposure to building or scaling customer/partner education programs, academies, or certification models (ideally in SaaS or tech) is an asset
- Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
