Backend Engineer

• Work hands-on in the development of web features, backend, mobile and integrations;
• Demonstrate critical thinking and proactivity to contribute to building solutions;
• Develop and maintain applications using PHP/Laravel and MySQL;
• Help evolve current frontends to more modern architectures using React;
• Contribute to mobile initiatives using React Native;
• Support the definition and enforcement of technical standards for code, structure, testing, APIs and documentation;
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to less experienced developers;
• Support architectural decisions together with technical leadership and Product;
• Identify and reduce technical debt that impacts stability, productivity and scalability;
• Improve performance of applications, APIs and databases;
• Support integrations with internal and external systems and data platforms;
• Contribute to improvements in deployment, versioning, CI/CD and monitoring;
• Participate in incident analysis, critical bugs and production issues;
• Work closely with Product, Data, DevOps and Business teams;
• Ensure technical evolution happens incrementally, sustainably and value-driven.
