Project Manager

• Leads team on large projects or significant segment of large complex projects across the OUC Technology Division.
• Tracking, managing, and coordinating projects across the OUC Information Technology Division.
• Support the CIO in planning, execution, and reporting for a broad range of IT initiatives.
• Provide analytical support and performance monitoring across IT domains.
• Tracks project and operational related systemic issues and supports analysis and solutions with SMEs.
• Provide project coordination and support activities for enterprise IT systems including telephony, CAD, radio, call floor, networking, and application services.
• Support planning of long and short-range projects for systems development, maintenance, upgrades, and IT-Services activities.
• Track and monitor project progress against milestones, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Coordinate assessments of technical and operational practices for upgrades and changes.
• Research and plan new and emerging technologies to support modernization of OUC-IT systems.
• Gather information and performance data on IT performance for IT leadership.
• Participate in IT budget planning and forecasting.
• Maintain program documentation including project plans, timelines, requirements, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements.
• Monitor, track, and report on performance metrics for the IT department.
• Coordinate with vendors and District Stakeholders for maintenance and upgrades.
• Coordinate status updates for enterprise-wide initiatives including infrastructure upgrades, call floor systems, network monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate deployment of hardware and applications including installation, configuration, testing, and user support.
• Use ServiceNow to open, track, update, and close service tickets.
• Support IT asset management by tracking and maintaining inventory of hardware and software.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned activities on the 911/311 call floor, including workstation checks, software update testing, troubleshooting, escalation of major glitches, and end user IT support.

Project Coordinator

Architect

• Full-time position with Tecknomic supporting the Port Authority of NY & NJ on Cognos TM1 architecture and development.
• New development: understand/document business requirements, plan, develop, test and deploy solutions following Port Authority processes.
• Systems Testing and Deployment: unit/system integration testing, coordinate UAT and obtain sign-off for production releases.
• Systems Support: maintenance, enhancements, resolve data issues and user tickets, provide on-call off-hour support.
• Environment Support: maintain Non-prod and Prod Cognos environments, apply patches and upgrades.
• System administration: install/configure Cognos components, manage user accounts, security profiles, access control.
• Troubleshooting: log, document, track and resolve system problems ensuring data integrity across interfaces.
• Disaster Recovery Support: define scope and coordinate periodic DR tests with Port Authority and third parties.
• Documentation and Training: produce documentation and user guides, provide training for new functionality.

Cognos TM1 Architect

Platform Engineer

• Full-time position with Tecknomic on a Port Authority of NY & NJ project.
• Hybrid role in NY/NJ; normal workday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• New development: gather and document business requirements, plan, develop, test, deploy solutions following PA processes.
• Systems Testing and Deployment: unit and system integration testing, coordinate UAT and obtain sign-off, follow change/release management.
• Systems Support: maintain platform stability, resolve data issues and user tickets, provide on-call availability.
• Environment Support: maintain Non-prod and Prod Cognos environments, apply patching and upgrades.
• System administration: install/configure Cognos components, manage user accounts and security profiles.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Management: log, document, track and resolve system problems ensuring data integrity.
• Disaster Recovery Support: define and coordinate disaster recovery tests with Port Authority and third parties.
• Documentation and Training: produce documentation and user guides, provide end-user training on new functionality.
