Own day-to-day operations and maintenance of our AWS GovCloud environment, including EKS cluster management, EC2, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, S3, and IAM
Manage the deployment of new features and fixes across commercial and GovCloud environments, coordinating with application teams through structured intake and ad hoc request processes
Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipeline templates (GitLab CI) that enforce organizational standards for scalability, compliance, and observability
Diagnose cross-cutting infrastructure issues, including networking misconfigurations, IAM permission boundaries, and Kubernetes scheduling failures, evaluating blast radius and downstream team impact before proposing solutions
Partner with application teams to translate platform changes, deprecations, and new standards into clear, actionable guidance that reduces friction across the organization
Drive improvements to environment observability and stability using Datadog
Participate in an on-call rotation and take full production ownership of the systems you support

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering
Strong proficiency in Linux administration in production environments, including RHEL-based system management
Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred), Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or comparable tooling
Experience deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS
Strong consultative and cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to translate platform changes into clear guidance for application teams
