About the role
- Manage a Dual-Channel Pipeline: Master both inbound and outbound sales motions.
- Strategic Outbound Prospecting: Own and penetrate a named account list of 100-200 high-potential prospects.
- Leverage AI & Referrals: Actively prospect high-intent leads fed to you from AI prospecting tools.
- Become a Sport- or Competitor-Specific Expert: Develop deep subject matter expertise in a few target sports.
- Run the full sales cycle: Take leads from qualification to demo, proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Be a product expert: Conduct in-depth, web-based demos, uncover complex customer needs, and articulate our value proposition.
- Maintain CRM discipline: Accurately track all activities and pipeline in Salesforce.
- Collaborate: Work closely with marketing, customer success, fellow selling peers, and your sales leadership team.
Requirements
- Hunter Mentality: You are a self-starter who thrives on proactive, multi-threaded outbound prospecting and inbound lead management and are not afraid to build your own pipeline.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Athlete's Mindset: You're competitive, resilient, and bounce back fast from rejection.
- Business-Savvy: You analyze sales performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Customer-focused: You genuinely care about helping sports organizations succeed.
- Resourceful & Proactive: You take initiative, problem-solve, and seek guidance when needed.
- Team Player: You collaborate, share knowledge, and celebrate team wins.
- Bonus Points If You Have: 2-4 years of quota-carrying sales experience, especially in new business development. SaaS or sports industry experience. Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving sales organization. Willingness to travel occasionally for team meetings, trade shows, or client visits.
