About the role

  • Edit English Language Arts assessment content for grammar, usage, style, tone, and factual accuracy
  • Review assessment content to ensure that it is factually accurate, clear, cohesive, and organized
  • Ensure content is informative, engaging, and grade-level appropriate; reflect project-specific guidelines and Chicago Manual of Style
  • Communicate with curriculum designers in a professional and dependable manner
  • Provide clear, precise, and actionable feedback to content writers

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in English, creative writing, or a related field
  • At least three years of professional content editing and copy editing experience
  • Understanding of K–12 students’ reading and knowledge levels
  • Deep knowledge of English grammar and conventions
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to apply conventions consistently
  • Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience editing educational materials, including assessments (preferred)
  • Experience using online content management and communication systems (preferred)
