About the role
- Edit English Language Arts assessment content for grammar, usage, style, tone, and factual accuracy
- Review assessment content to ensure that it is factually accurate, clear, cohesive, and organized
- Ensure content is informative, engaging, and grade-level appropriate; reflect project-specific guidelines and Chicago Manual of Style
- Communicate with curriculum designers in a professional and dependable manner
- Provide clear, precise, and actionable feedback to content writers
Requirements
- BA/BS degree, preferably in English, creative writing, or a related field
- At least three years of professional content editing and copy editing experience
- Understanding of K–12 students’ reading and knowledge levels
- Deep knowledge of English grammar and conventions
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to apply conventions consistently
- Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience editing educational materials, including assessments (preferred)
- Experience using online content management and communication systems (preferred)
