About the role
- Accurately complete everyday banking transactions on the teller line and platform
- Open and close personal deposit accounts and service account maintenance requests (deposits, withdrawals, address updates, reorder debit cards)
- Provide advice and educational support on services, products, and digital banking tools to help customers achieve financial goals
- Process customer transactions, uncover customer financial needs and educate on products/services or refer to appropriate experts
- Manage leads and customer outreach (self-generated leads, partner/retail referral leads, campaign leads, outbound calls, relay SMS), set/host appointments and prioritize leads
- Engage in lobby leadership, orchestrate customer walk-in traffic, manage wait times and act as first point of contact for customer inquiries or resolutions
- Maintain cash drawers, follow dual control and open/close procedures, and perform cash handling within policy
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, Customer Authentication, Regulation E), complete compliance training and maintain records
- Act as a brand champion, collaborate with team members, participate in colleague development and may train/mentor newer colleagues
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, military experience) preferred
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred
- Ability to work during operating hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Teller experience preferred
- Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire
- Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent
- Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work and work independently to meet deadlines
- Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Notary License preferred
- Preferred bilingual/Spanish (job title indicates "Preferred Bilingual/Spanish")
