About the role
- Handle first-level screening of Sanctions alerts and perform initial sanctions investigations
- Provide broad support and perform money laundering detection activities and transaction reviews
- Complete routine transactions and low-moderate risk repetitive processes within established guidelines
- Use a limited number of systems/applications to complete transactions and manage own workload
- Identify and assess straightforward issues using standard procedures and escalate non-standard issues
- Report/escalate risk issues or process gaps identified during investigations
- Perform AML and Sanctions/ABAC information gathering activities and support related transactions
- Review banking transactions against bank and regulatory thresholds and forward unusual transactions for further review
- Perform research activities, address discrepancies, and contribute to process improvement and procedural documentation
- Participate in team knowledge transfer, training, and support a positive, inclusive work environment
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- AML/Banking background (Preferred Skills)
- Working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet SLA requirements
- Ability to escalate non-standard or high-risk activities as necessary
