About the role
- Manage a portfolio of customers in the Loan Recover Group (LRG) segment for TD Equipment Finance (TDEF)
- Develop collections strategy and file strategy for Small Business / Commercial / Corporate Banking segment
- Manage internal relationships with the Bank's Financial Restructuring Group, Commercial and Agricultural services branch network
- Manage relationships with external professionals including legal counsel, accountants/monitors, receivers and trustees
- Report to the Sr. Manager EMG, LRG and Collections
- Retain good quality clients and contribute to business economic profit by meeting pricing objectives and maximizing recovery of funds
- Minimize loss through timely response to deteriorating situations and maximize recovery with creative restructuring solutions
- Control costs through cost-effective use of third-party professionals
- Assess and adjudicate credit applications, perform independent risk analysis, and apply Bank policies and lending guidelines
- Operate in a compliant manner and complete required compliance training and attestations
- Monitor higher risk portfolio at TDEF and apply risk management strategies to minimize loss
- Deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrate empathy, and provide restructuring solutions
- Lead, support, mentor and provide guidance to team members and act as a subject matter expert for equipment finance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Commerce, or related field
- Restructuring/workout experience an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Credit or Equipment Finance
- Bilingual (French & English)
- Experience assessing and adjudicating credit applications and performing independent risk analysis
- Knowledge of TD policies & lending guidelines and credit assessment techniques
- Knowledge of equipment finance market and industries
- Experience managing higher risk lending situations and restructuring solutions
- Experience with BBHub, Sales Force (Salesforce), Ekip, Jira, and CARMA Credit
- Must complete compliance training and attestations within required timelines
- Strong relationship management with internal groups and external professionals (legal counsel, accountants/monitors, receivers, trustees)
