About the role
- Conduct first-level review of Negative Media alerts for accuracy and materiality
- Screen against various watchlists and analyze/escalate potential matches
- Perform money laundering detection activities and review transactions
- Complete routine transactions within established guidelines using limited systems
- Manage workload, coordinate tasks, and escalate non-standard issues
- Perform AML and Sanctions/ABAC information gathering activities
- Complete investigations and report/escalate risk issues or process gaps
- Support process improvement initiatives and prepare procedural documents
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience with due diligence assessment at a financial institution (preferred)
- Attention to detail
- Consistency across high-volume work
- Knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience
- Ability to identify and assess issues and escalate non-standard issues
