About the role

  • The Lead Business Intelligence Specialist provides oversight and consultative advice and guidance to others as the top specialist with enterprise or significant cross business mandate.
  • This role is responsible to provide the design/development of complex presentations, reports, dashboards and scorecards to support business needs; ensures alignment of metrics across the organization.
  • This role acts a technical working lead/expert to others.
  • This role works closely with senior leadership on significant projects.
  • Additionally, this role drives the streamline, healthiness, and simplification of the reporting stack, ensuring optimal efficiency and clarity.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science)
  • Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience, or; 7+ year of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted
  • Maintain domain knowledge of TD Bank's source system data that includes both application databases and business data warehouse(s)
  • Ability to inform against and define technical requirements for the construct of AML data models and data structures (both structured and unstructured)
  • Write and execute data validation scripts between source systems and targeted AML data warehouse(s)
  • Ability to define and/or validate ETL logic and identify any programming issues/bugs
  • Ability to construct entity relations diagrams (ERD) for various data constructs.
  • Design and manage various business architecture diagrams to demonstrate data inflows and outflows throughout FCRM's tech stack
  • Possess expertise knowledge on various database types for both on-premises (Oracle and Hadoop preferred) and cloud storage (MicroSoft Azure preferred).
  • Able to construct and maintain various data mapping documentation and meta data catalogs
  • Able to define and suggest logic for the design of data validation rules
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to senior management
  • Collaborate and contribute both individually and in a team setting
  • Serve as a Team Lead, supervising and overseeing the execution of cross functional work
