About the role
- Provide strategic leadership for a national litigation team
- Ensure TD Insurance and its customers are expertly represented before all levels of court
- Lead a high-performing national Claims Litigation Services team
- Deliver best-in-class litigation outcomes for TD Insurance and its customers
- Build strategic partnerships with Accident Benefits, Bodily Injury, residential, fraud, and subrogation teams
- Collaborate with TD Legal to optimize outcomes and resource allocation
Requirements
- Licensed lawyer in good standing with a provincial law society
- Ability to be licensed in Ontario or Alberta (or both)
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in insurance defense litigation
- Expertise in trial advocacy with a proven track record
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Proven experience managing and developing a diverse team
- Outstanding communication skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication, negotiation, and partnership skills
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale change initiatives
