About the role
- The Senior Product Analyst contributes to the business strategy by supporting tactics for product development and to acquire/retain business for their product group.
- Provides advice, recommendations, solutions and consulting at a broad functional level across product management accountabilities based on reporting and analysis.
- Mortgage Capital Markets oversees mortgage product development, pricing, OTS pipeline risk management, hedging strategies, whole loan trading, trade operations & delivery, investor relationships and strategic mortgage initiatives.
- The Mortgage Product Development team creates and enhances home lending products (conforming, jumbo and specialty loans) for customers purchasing, building or refinancing.
- Supports forecasting, modelling, pricing, market trends, policy analytics and business case development; maintains documentation and training material.
- Ensures regulatory compliance and maintains a culture of risk management; collaborates with Marketing, CAPA and other partners; analyzes KPIs and market insights.
- Coordinates with stakeholders to review requirements and propose solutions; contributes to training, onboarding and knowledge transfer.
- Requires relevant education/experience and ability to communicate effectively; strong analytical and computer skills.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or product management certificate and/or 60 months of relevant experience (channel/distribution, finance, control partners, technology)
- Proficient knowledge of product research, analysis and development, forecasting, pricing, and competitive intelligence
- Excellent oral and written communication; ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong judgement and prioritization
- Experience with analytical software tools and data analysis; MS Office proficiency
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and risk management; ability to develop business cases and assess market trends
- Experience creating customer-facing documentation and collateral; cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, CAPA, etc.
- Preferred: Encompass & Excel for analytical reporting; PowerPoint for presenting data; leading product initiatives
