About the role
- Manages or oversees operations of several functions or processes within Loan Operations
- Directly manages a staff of individual contributors

- Develops and manages the team by recruiting, training and coaching
- Leads and applies the performance management process, supporting Employees in their personal and performance development
- Continuously assesses the quality of team member performance, incoming volumes, productivity, capacity, SLAs and metrics
- Establishes policies and procedures to manage the performance of units supervised
- Provides leadership in the absence of the department manager or may represent the interests of the department in committees, presentations, etc
- Serves as change agent to identify and implement continuous improvement within teams
- Provides recommendations toward strategic vision and tactical goals
- Participates or leads multiple projects within department or across divisions
- Develops relationships with management of internal and external functions/departments to enhance productivity of managed units
- Influences others to gain support and sponsorship for departmental initiatives
- Manages bank conversions as they pertain to managed operational units
- Develops effective strategies and tactics to ensure successful completion and implementation of project goals and service level agreements
- Develops and maintains an overall operating budget, ensures adherence to budget, and takes corrective action as necessary
- Delegates budgetary assignments to subordinate managers
Requirements
- Work experience equivalent to Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years related experience required
- In-depth knowledge of principles, policies, and practices related to operations
- Demonstrated leadership, delegation, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Demonstrated ability to resolve operational issues and conflicts
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated problem/conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant banking and regulatory rules and policies
- Proven ability to balance competing priorities and make sound decisions within, and outside of, established policy
- Proven ability to develop new policies and procedures in response to, and in anticipation of, changes in the business environment
- Ability to complete Ad hoc Sql Queries, Alteryx flows, and other required data queries preferred
- Ability to perform Account level tracking; Metric reporting and aging metrics preferred
- Ability to collect metrics and creating presentations including charts, graphs and pivot tables preferred
- Ability to evaluate potential discrepancies and perform research, investigation, and root cause analysis preferred
- SQL experience preferred
