About the role
- Lead and develop a global team of Field Sales Engineers, Solution Architects, and Design Engineers, setting clear expectations and driving performance.
- Define and execute pre-sales engineering and technical enablement strategies aligned to business priorities.
- Partner with Sales, Product, Vendors, and Customers to create innovative demo solutions, programs, and services that accelerate revenue.
- Own execution of business plans tied to solution centers and services offerings.
- Establish and report on outcome-based KPIs that demonstrate revenue influence and ROI.
- Manage financial stewardship, including cost accountability and effective use of onshore and offshore resources.
- Represent Engineering Strategy at customer briefings, vendor engagements, and industry conferences; present to C-level stakeholders.
- Leverage data and tools (e.g., CIS, Jira, Power BI) to drive insights, governance, and execution.
- Champion effective and responsible use of AI, integrating it into team workflows and processes.
- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to attract, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing team.
- Ensure certification, compliance, and governance requirements are met and accurately reported.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of relevant experience, with 3–5+ years leading and developing teams.
- Proven leadership experience in pre-sales engineering, technical enablement, or related functions.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively at senior levels.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Experience driving programs, managing budgets, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Fluency with data, analytics, and operational tools; comfort using insights to guide decisions.
- Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and inclusive leadership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.
- Travel required for customer meetings, vendor engagements, and conferences.
