About the role
- Foster a safety first culture within the facility through engagement, leading by example, and holding other accountable
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety walks with leadership and safety teams
- Perform contractor inspections and programmed safety audits per TC standards
- Manage change processes for machines, work areas, and safety communications
- Address and resolve employee safety concerns promptly
- Oversee environmental compliance tasks such as hazardous waste, chemical management, stormwater inspections, and reporting
- Prepare and submit required environmental and safety reports on schedule
- Lead Safety Team meetings, agendas, and corrective action follow-up
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate safety programs, including audits
- Investigate accidents/incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures
- Managing work comp as needed
- Coordinate safety training schedules and ensure completion in partnership with HR

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of five years’ safety experience
