About the role
- Work collaboratively with Corporate R&D Engineers to optimize or develop products and improve cost performance initiatives with existing and new customers.
- Document, coordinate and conduct trials for products that improve internal and external projects or initiatives.
- Establish and audit internal and external product and process specifications.
- Provide technical support to customers as required.
- Coordinate onsite customer visits.
- Utilize all resources available to problem solve issues.
- Develop and conduct training and participate in internal/external training as appropriate.
- Manage Development Projects in accordance with the Design Control Policy and Procedures.
- Participate in Stage Gate Project reviews and follow up promptly on any assigned action items.
- Work collaboratively with their team on any special projects as assigned.
- Co-manage the SQC Pack software program.
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
Requirements
- Degree from accredited 4-year college or university. Engineering degree preferred.
- Demonstrated project and time management experience.
- Knowledge of printing/converting/flexible packaging industry.
- Knowledge of quality methods/testing and SPC.
- Working knowledge of problem-solving methodologies.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as necessary
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office operation systems
