Responsible for execution of sales strategy in assigned territory for Telit embedded cellular, short range, and positioning modules.
Meet and exceed sales targets by creating end-user demand through direct and indirect sales activities.
Formulate and implement account strategies with channel (distribution) partners to maximize sales results.
Lead sales efforts in direct accounts; develop account plans and strategies for key accounts.
Support channel partners’ sales efforts, prospect new customers, qualify leads, and manage territory performance.
Establish and maintain relationships with channel partners, direct and indirect customers, and industry participants.
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Applications Engineering teams and report to the regional Vice-President of Sales.
Lead later stage sales through targeted customer visits, RFP response development, and coordination of third-party solution providers.
Identify customer objections and coordinate with team to overcome them; monitor and manage sales pipeline to advance and close opportunities.
Ensure account retention by providing customer and sales support directly or through channel partners.
Coordinate technical support and technical training for channel partners with Telit Application Engineers.
Identify new sales opportunities for Telit Connectivity and Platform service offering and involve relevant personnel.
Proactively identify customer service issues; escalate and participate in problem resolution.
Provide regular reports: weekly activity reports, monthly sales forecasts, visit reports, market maps; leverage CRM for customer contact and pipeline management.
Advise channel partners on market conditions and competitors; gather market intelligence and product requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.
10+ years of sales experience in M2M, semiconductor, or another related field.
Relevant M2M or semiconductor “design in” experience and extensive experience in complex sales with a variety of decision makers within the target account.
Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
Technically proficient with a successful background in long sales cycle/design-in semiconductor related product sales.
Strong customer commitment and proven history in excelling in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Exceptional work ethic; uses time productively, focused on right opportunities, maximizes efficiency, and meets challenging work goals.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
