About the role
- Gather data from internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Clean, organize, and maintain datasets to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Use database management tools to efficiently store, retrieve, and manage data.
- Analyze datasets using statistical methods to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python, or R to communicate findings effectively.
- Identify and address business challenges through data-driven solutions and recommendations.
- Create and deliver comprehensive reports summarizing key metrics, trends, and actionable insights.
- Present findings to stakeholders clearly and concisely, enabling informed decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze performance indicators, providing regular updates and insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and gather requirements.
- Translate business objectives into clear, actionable data requirements.
- Support data-driven decision-making across departments by providing reliable and timely analysis.
- Apply predictive modeling, trend analysis, and other statistical techniques to forecast and optimize outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation through data insights.
- Responding in a timely manner to IT related issues and requests.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware (printers, scanners, tablets, etc.) and/or software (Office, ERP, Solidworks, etc.).
- Providing technical support and training across the company (in person or over the phone, teams).
- Creating accounts for new hires and deleting/disabling them upon departure to maintain security.
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
- Testing new technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Experience in data analysis or a related field (or equivalent academic experience).
- Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning and manipulation.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with databases and querying languages (e.g., SQL).
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Proficiency with SmartSheet is an asset.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with statistical analysis and modeling.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
