About the role
- Maintain the cross-functional initiatives to track on risk causes, impact, mitigation and action plans of existing and potential regional risks
- Participates in the risk management process, including documenting, reviewing and updating systems on a regular basis
- Supports special projects as requested; provides ad-hoc support to senior management
- Performs, updates and maintains existing access and reports from the customer risk management system
- As a data scientist on our team, you will have the opportunity to create high-performance analytic solutions based on data sets measured in the billions of transactions and front-end visualizations to unleash the value of big data
- Develop and maintain advanced reporting and data visualization capabilities on large volumes of data to support analytics and reporting needs across products, markets and services
- Develop data-driven innovative analytical solutions and identify opportunities to support business needs in a quantitative manner and facilitate informed recommendations/decisions by performing jobs in big data cluster by using different execution engines and program languages such as Hive/Impala, Python, Spark
- Provide insights/conclusions/assessments and present findings via Tableau/PowerBI dashboards, Excel and PowerPoint
- Adhere to hybrid work policy
Requirements
- Years of experience in Risk Management, Compliance, or Audit
- Years of experience in data management, data mining, data analytics, data reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, operates with a sense of urgency
- Able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Project Management/Risk Mitigation Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Domo, PowerBI, Excel, Power Point
- Experience with Hadoop environments, Python, Spark, advanced SQL coding
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Financial Institution or a Payments experience a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Economics, Business, Risk Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics
