About the role

  • Develop and execute the overall strategy for enterprise application systems in alignment with business objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the organization's applications remain current and competitive.
  • Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and implement software solutions that address organizational needs.
  • Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of application developers, analysts, and support professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Manage application-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Develop and manage the applications team budget, including resource allocation, vendor contracts, and licensing agreements.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks related to application security, compliance, and availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in application development, implementation, and management, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in enterprise application systems, such as ERP, CRM, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
  • Strong knowledge of application integration, data management, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications (Preferred): ITIL, PMP, or relevant technical certifications. Cloud platform certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
