About the role

  • Lead and support the jewelry design team through all stages of the design process, staying aligned with the seasonal design calendar and proactively anticipating next steps
  • Drive research into global trends, materials, and techniques to create jewelry that feels fresh, playful, and authentically kate spade
  • Produce and oversee detailed CAD drawings and renderings in Illustrator and Photoshop for vendor communication and sampling
  • Create, manage, and maintain spec sheets and technical packages, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all development stages
  • Develop and update seasonal color cards and finish references
  • Prepare and present seasonal mood boards and presentations to cross-functional partners and senior leadership
  • Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure a cohesive and commercially strong collection
  • Maintain organized material libraries, component archives, and reference samples

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Jewelry Design
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in jewelry, with demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD rendering
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to present ideas confidently and collaborate effectively across teams
  • A genuine love of the kate spade brand and a sharp sense of taste, trend awareness
