💰 $75,000 - $80,000 per year

About the role

  • Leverage proficiency in Technical Design to communicate technical information
  • Maintain all elements of a Design Card through the development process
  • Review samples for corrections including aesthetics, dimensions, hand feel, functionality, and workmanship
  • Create and maintain full-scale technical construction sketches and accurate information on design cards
  • Maintain established standards, details and integrity of the product
  • Building silhouette templates for commercialization
  • Create CADs for color options to support design and merchandising needs
  • Identify, clearly define, and resolve technical issues while partnering with the PD team

Requirements

  • 3+ years work experience in technical design with focus on handbags/leathergoods
  • Thorough understanding of the design & development process from inception through production, including product construction and engineering
  • Proficient knowledge of industry construction standards and manufacturing, including materials (hardware, leather, fabric)
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; ability to CAD in fast-paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail, initiative, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to adhere to tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with pattern makers and overseas partners
  • Have a positive attitude and team-player mentality.
