Backend Engineer

• Collaborate with the Trading team to define project scope, requirements, and milestones
• Prepare design documentation and actively participate in architectural discussions with team members
• Build features in Go to enhance Talos's Order Management System (OMS), which is responsible for making all trading related decisions for orders submitted into Talos to ensure best execution
• Add analytics and metrics to measure impact of your changes while incorporating feedback and iterating based on team input
• Demonstrate project progress through regular demos

Software Engineer Intern, Backend, Trading

Accounting Manager

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including ledger entries and reconciliations
• Oversee the Accounts Payable function and manage our outsourced provider
• Research and apply technical accounting guidance, including ASC 606, ASC 350, and ASC 718
• Collaborate with FP&A on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Partner with external advisors on technical matters including tax returns and indirect tax compliance
• Manage state, federal, and international tax filings in coordination with external firms
• Lead activities of independent auditors and oversee audits across international jurisdictions
• Propose and implement efficiency improvements in processes, systems, and internal controls
• Produce periodic and ad hoc financial reporting
• Support treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting

Technical Recruiter

• Report directly to the Head of Talent Acquisition and partner with Co-Founders, senior leadership, and hiring managers to define hiring strategies for software engineering talent
• Source, engage, and close engineers with expertise in building scalable, real-time distributed systems
• Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify passive talent across competitive markets
• Drive the full recruitment lifecycle within Ashby while leveraging RecOps support for scheduling and administrative tasks
• Ensure an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Talos’s high standards
• Use data and reporting in Ashby to track progress, optimize pipelines, and provide insights to leadership
• Serve as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, advising on market dynamics, compensation, and talent trends

Full-stack Engineer

• Assist in designing, implementing, testing, and deploying backend systems and services, with a focus on trading connectivity
• Support the integration of new liquidity providers into the Talos network, contributing to the platform’s efficiency and value
• Collaborate on the integration process from gathering requirements to interfacing with the technical teams of external providers, and build, test, and deploy work to production
• Contribute to efforts to improve the scalability, reliability, security, and performance of the Talos platform
• Work with product teams, engineering teams, and support to help develop solutions for the full trade lifecycle, from inception to execution
