About the role
- Define, implement, and manage the organization’s cloud architecture strategy
- Design and govern application architectures deployed in cloud environments
- Configure and maintain core cloud infrastructure components
- Design and implement cloud networking architectures
- Integrate identity federation and modern authentication mechanisms
- Develop and maintain cloud-based delivery platforms
- Establish secure cloud storage and computing environments
- Lead architectural initiatives that promote a cloud-first approach
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders
- Engage with customer leadership and technical stakeholders
- Conduct architecture assessments and provide recommendations
- Lead technical workshops and discovery sessions
- Resolve cloud architecture issues during integration, testing, and deployment phases
- Provide technical leadership supporting operational strategies
- Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded
- Identify and forward to leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth
- Participate in growth efforts as requested
- Ensure all contractual deliverables are met or exceeded
- Complete personal PDP and attend Staff Meetings
- Build productive and positive professional relationships with clients
- Execute all contract requirements as assigned
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Considered an emerging authority with strong technical expertise in cloud architecture
- Functional knowledge of scripting languages like Bash, Python, PowerShell or other similar languages
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-level cloud solutions
- Ability to develop technical solutions to complex architectural challenges
- Demonstrated ability to lead architecture efforts and guide technical teams
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification
- At least one cloud certification
