About the role

  • Assist the government Program Manager and lead SW Engineer with the software development lifecycle
  • Develop requirements for and ensure delivery of Security integration into CI/CD pipeline, Code Review and Security Analysis, Infrastructure Security, Threat Modeling and Risk Assessment, and Vulnerability Management
  • Ensures completion of tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints
  • Provides input to the government customer concerning risks to performance, schedule, and budget due to either proposed contractor plans or contractor's execution of accepted plans
  • Ensure the quality of the program, project, or task deliverables meet or exceed standards or metrics and assess such deliverables to ensure that the final deliverables will meet the warfighting purpose for which they are intended
  • Plans and performs engineering research, design development, and other engineering assignments in conformance with the design, engineering, and customer specifications
  • Responsible for the overall technical/engineering portions of major projects or programs to include DevSecOps process
  • Mentor and build expertise in DevSecOps principles, practices, and tools
  • Coordinates with multiple partners/agencies to ensure system engineering communities support delivery milestones
  • Tracks and advises design trades and associated cost, schedule, and technical impacts to requirements
  • Supports design, interpretation, and analysis of technical solutions to complex discipline-specific testing
  • Translate complex ideas and data into simple, actionable recommendations or easily differentiated courses of action
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy—oral and written

Requirements

  • Clearance: TS/SCI with SAP Eligibility, and willingness to sit for a CI Poly
  • Education: Relevant MA/MS/ME Degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
  • Years of Experience: Minimum ten (10) years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work experience
  • No less than two (2) years' total SAP and/or SCI environment experience and 1-year total within last 5 years
  • Experience with DoD acquisition to include documentation generation, presentation preparation, and supporting programmatic-focused discussions
  • Proven experience and/or qualifications in requirement development for the DoD or IC
  • Understanding of operational environment and corresponding mission user needs
  • Knowledge of space system engineering, development, and manufacturing
  • Experience in Agile Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) principles
  • Experience in DoD program management including program development and transition
  • Experience with Agile Roadmaps, Integrated Master Schedules, and risk management
  • Experience with Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS)
  • Preferred: Five (5) years of relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience with SAP and/or SCI
  • Preferred: Experience with software testing for space vehicle and/or space ground systems
  • Preferred: System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to Government program office
  • Preferred: Experience with rapid prototyping and transition to operations
  • Preferred: Experience with integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities
  • Preferred: Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining ground mission planning architecture and software
  • Preferred: Experience with ACAT I/II level acquisition programs
  • Preferred: Experience using multivariable optimization in mission planning software systems
  • Preferred: Experience in planning and executing test campaigns for space systems
  • Preferred: Fluency with IC organization
  • Preferred: Experience working in multiple classification environments and implementing cross-domain solutions
  • Preferred: Experience with online collaboration tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, and JIRA
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud computing tools, such as VMware, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure
