About the role
- Professional and organizational leadership of the financial accounting team of 30 employees (m/f/d)
- Ensure smooth operation of all accounting processes
- Overall responsibility for proper and legally compliant accounting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Active involvement in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Ensure reliable closing results and perform account reconciliations
- Close coordination with related departments
- Drive continuous improvement and development of accounting structures, workflows and systems
- Serve as the primary contact for tax advisors, auditors and authorities
- Ensure professional and transparent communication and timely provision of all relevant documentation
- Collaborate with Controlling and executive management to provide decision-relevant financial information
Requirements
- Initial professional experience in an auditing or consulting firm
- Professional experience in the commercial/financial management of companies desirable
- Solid knowledge of relevant commercial and financial subjects
- Strong MS Office skills; SAP and DATEV knowledge advantageous; high IT affinity
- Independent and structured working style; reliability
- Confident demeanor and strong communication skills
- Hands-on mentality
