About the role
- Managing month-end close for U.S. and Canadian entities, including accruals, inter-company transactions, and reconciliations
- Supporting North American tax compliance including sales tax, HST, and U.S. state nexus requirements in collaboration with external advisors
- Preparing cash flow forecasts and supporting regional treasury management
- Delivering financial reporting and P&L analysis to support decision-making for the CFO and leadership team
- Identifying opportunities to improve legacy finance processes and implementing scalable workflows
- Providing day-to-day finance support to Sales and Operations teams
Requirements
- CPA candidate or recently qualified CPA
- approximately 3-4 years of experience
- ideally from a Big 4 or Top 20 public accounting firm
- strong technical foundation in financial reporting and accounting principles
- strong understanding of ASPE and IFRS, with exposure to U.S. GAAP considered an asset
