About the role
- Overall responsibility for the operational areas: Production, Warehouse, Engineering & Technical Services, Demand Management, Transport Management and Strategic Sourcing, with more than 200 employees
- Ensure occupational and process safety as well as health protection
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, company rules and corporate strategies
- Responsibility for departmental budgets and KPI tracking
- Ensure efficient production processes while maintaining hygiene, safety and food standards
- Develop and implement strategies for process optimization and cost reduction
- Close collaboration with Executive Management, Sales and R&D to achieve company objectives
- Plan and manage capacity, on-time deliveries and raw material supply
- Opportunity to progress to Vice President Operations
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering (BSc/MSc)
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable position
- At least 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing company
- Deep understanding of production processes, supply chain management and quality standards
- Business-fluent German and English
- Familiarity with standard software such as MS Office and SAP
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and GMP
- Empathetic and people-oriented leadership style
- Strong communication skills and assertiveness
- Excellent strategic thinking and decisiveness
- Interest in change processes and implementing new ideas
