About the role

  • Overall leadership and team-oriented management of the "Sampling Lab" group with currently 17 employees
  • Overall responsibility for the sampling process, including strategic task allocation, prioritization and timely handling of sample orders
  • Close cross-departmental collaboration with Sales, Production and other interfaces to ensure smooth operations
  • Planning and coordination of sample production in SAP, including mixing, spray-drying and shipping of hazardous goods
  • Demand-driven procurement of materials as well as organization of proper disposal
  • Continuous optimization of processes, structures and workflows to increase efficiency and improve quality
  • Fostering a positive, future-oriented working culture and promoting the professional and personal development of your team members
  • Regular reporting to the Head of Department, R&D Support & Strategic Projects

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Science/Technology or a similar field
  • Several years of professional experience in leading teams, ideally in the chemical industry or in laboratory environments
  • Solid knowledge of production or sampling processes, ideally with experience in handling hazardous materials
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a structured and solution-oriented way of working
  • Leadership personality with a motivating and appreciative leadership style
  • Solid knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000 and similar regulations
  • Proficient in SAP and MS Office
  • Fluent German and English
